Marjorie is a designer, teacher, lecturer, and specialist in Ecclesiastical design. She is certified in canvaswork by The Embroiderers' Guild of America, Inc., The American Needlepoint Guild Inc., and The Valentine Museum's National Textile Resource and Research Center.

Marjorie has the distinction of being the only person ever certified in Ecclesiastical design by the prestigious Valentine Museum NTRRC. She received the third Master Teacher Certification ever awarded by The American Needlepoint Guild and has served as a proctor for the Master Teacher Program. Marjorie is the only person to ever have received a copyright on a needlework technique.

Her church commissions exceed one hundred and can be seen in churches of all denominations throughout the United States. Her development of religious symbols, now in use nationally, is a tribute to her many years of study and research in this field.
